Educational Goals for Students
In essence there are four (4) broad educational goals.
- Academic or intellectual development
- Civic and social development
- Vocational development
- Personal development
Each Student, after spending five (5) years at the school should:
- be able to write, read and handle basic mathematical operations
- be able to use and evaluate knowledge
- develop positive attitudes toward work
- develop skills necessary to get a job
- be able to form productive and satisfying relationships with others
- develop an understanding and appreciation of cultures different from their own
- develop the skill in selecting personal learning goals and the means to attain them
- develop an understanding of the biological and physical characteristics of the environment
- develop physical fitness and recreational skills
- be computer literate
