As the school celebrates its Silver Anniversary, I take it a
pleasure to be part of this noble institution, and must applaud this
milestone.
Over the years the Business Education department continues to uphold
the school's motto Strive for Excellence. The success the
department has
experienced over the years could not have been achieved without the hard
work and dedication of the teachers who have motivated
and inspired the students to uphold the school's motto. With a
committed and experienced staff, the level of performance at all examination
councils has maintained a high standard.
Over time, the number of academic staff members of the department
moved from two to ten. At present there are six Information Technology
teachers, and four teachers of Business Education.
The department continues to keep abreast of technology and offers
students the best opportunities to keep pace with the developments
in the global society. There are three computer labs which are
equipped to cater to the needs of students, and allow Information
Technology to be offered to students at all grade levels, and is
compulsory for students who choose Business Education as a
vocation.
The academic programme of the department include Office
Administration (formerly Office Procedures), Principles of Business, Principles of
Accounts,
Busines Basics, Information Techonolgy and Electronic Document
Preparation and Management (formerly Typewriting). The teachers
are committed to ensuring that our students are able to function
efficiently to enhance productivity in a dynamic work environment.
